The Merzouga Experience
Discover the diverse landscapes of Morocco on this classic 3-Day Desert Tour from Marrakech. You'll travel through the majestic High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n'Tichka pass, and explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou.
The journey continues through the Valley of Roses and the stunning Dades Gorges, where you'll spend your first night in a charming hotel. The adventure peaks in Merzouga, where you'll ride camels across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to watch the sunset.
Your night in the desert will be spent in a Luxury Desert Camp. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, live Berber drum music around the campfire, and sleep in a comfortable tent with a private ensuite bathroom under a sky full of stars.
3-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Dades
Depart Marrakech at 8:00 AM. Traverse the High Atlas via Tizi n'Tichka pass (2260m). Guided visit of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Continue through Ouarzazate, Skoura Palm Grove, and the Valley of Roses. Dinner & Overnight in Dades Gorges hotel.
Day 2: Dades - Todra - Merzouga Dunes
Morning walk in Todra Gorges canyons. Stop in Erfoud to visit a fossil workshop. Arrival in Merzouga afternoon. 1-hour sunset camel trek into Erg Chebbi dunes. Traditional music & dinner at Luxury Desert Camp.
Day 3: Merzouga - Draa Valley - Marrakech
Wake up for sunrise. Breakfast at camp. Return transfer. Drive through Rissani market and the endless palm groves of the Draa Valley. Cross the Anti-Atlas mountains. Drop-off in Marrakech approx 7:00 PM.
